About
Stephen G. Lowry is a Georgia trial lawyer and partner who represents individuals and families in serious civil cases. He focuses on product liability, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, trucking, motor vehicle accidents, aviation accidents, bad faith, and business litigation. He began his career handling both plaintiff and defense matters before concentrating his practice on representing people harmed by defective products, corporate misconduct, negligence, and other wrongful acts.
Stephen earned his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College in 1998, where he served as an associate editor of the law review. He received dual B.A. degrees in History and Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1995. His academic background supports the legal analysis, persuasive writing, and strategic preparation required in complex product liability and catastrophic injury litigation.
Stephen has secured major jury verdicts in high-stakes cases, including a $43.5 million nursing home verdict, a $40 million verdict in a Georgia case, and a $10.6 million product liability verdict against Ford Motor Company. His work also includes wrongful death and medical malpractice matters, including a multimillion-dollar verdict involving post-birth complications. He regularly lectures on trial tactics, cross-examination, trucking, product liability, wrongful death, and business trials.
Stephen G. Lowry has earned extensive recognition for trial advocacy, including the American Association for Justice F. Scott Baldwin Most Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award. He has been selected to Georgia Super Lawyers since 2007 and has appeared on its Top 100 list. He was also inducted twice into the Georgia Verdicts Hall of Fame.
