Michael A. Ferrara Jr.

Michael A. Ferrara Jr. is a veteran trial lawyer and a partner at Ferrara & Gable, LLC, with more than 50 years of experience and over 250 jury trials. He represents clients in personal injury law and complex civil litigation matters throughout New Jersey. His practice includes defective products, defective drugs, medical malpractice, and serious accident claims. He also handles construction-site injuries, nursing home abuse, and general civil litigation. His work is devoted entirely to litigation and courtroom advocacy.

Michael earned his B.S. in Mathematics from Villanova University in 1964. He earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1972. He served five years as a US Naval Officer, including service in Vietnam. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in 1972 and the New Jersey bar in 1973. His federal admissions include district and appellate courts, as well as the US Supreme Court.

Michael is certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He also holds civil trial and civil practice advocacy certifications from the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He served as co-counsel representing New Jersey in landmark tobacco litigation and represented clients in Vioxx litigation. His appellate work has addressed physician litigation assistance and standards affecting auto accident victims with pre-existing medical conditions in significant cases.

Michael A. Ferrara Jr. has held leadership roles in trial-lawyer organizations and legal education. He is a past president of the New Jersey Trial Lawyers Association and a former American Association for Justice Board of Governors member. He is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. His honors include distinguished achievement, trial bar, and professionalism awards, reflecting decades of courtroom experience, professional leadership, legal advocacy, and service.
