Stephen G. Console

Stephen G. Console is the founding partner of Console Mattiacci Law, LLC, and represents employees in employment law disputes involving discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower claims, wage issues, and other workplace rights. He has practiced for more than 40 years and has represented over 3,000 individuals in actions against current or former employers. He has also handled significant cases involving age and disability discrimination, sexual harassment investigations, and employee compensation, bringing extensive trial experience to complex employment litigation in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Stephen earned his J.D. from Villanova Law School in 1982 and graduated from Drew University in 1979. He is admitted in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and before the Third Circuit and federal district courts in both states. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. His education, admissions, and professional involvement support a practice focused on protecting employees through litigation, negotiation, and strategic advocacy in complex employment-related disputes.

Stephen has handled precedent-setting employment cases, including the first lawsuit filed under New Jersey’s Conscientious Employee Protection Act and the first case ever televised in a United States federal court. He also served as lead or co-lead counsel in major age discrimination and class action matters. His work has included wage claims, privilege disputes, whistleblower litigation, and cases involving large groups of employees asserting important workplace and civil rights protections.

Stephen G. Console has received repeated recognition for employment litigation, including Top 100 selections from Pennsylvania Super Lawyers and Philadelphia Super Lawyers from 2008 through 2020. He was also named Best Lawyers’ Philadelphia Lawyer of the Year for Litigation – Labor and Employment in 2014. He has spoken at more than 100 seminars on employment rights, combining decades of courtroom experience with continued education, professional leadership, and advocacy for employees.
