Debora L. Verdier

Debora L. Verdier is the chair of the board at The Cavanagh Law Firm, P.A. and represents employers in labor and employment disputes before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, state and federal courts, and private arbitrators. She defends businesses against discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under major federal employment statutes. She also counsels employers on workplace policies, compliance, and dispute prevention. Her practice combines litigation, health care law, and insurance experience with practical advice designed to reduce legal exposure and resolve employment issues before they escalate into claims.

Debora earned her J.D. from Arizona State University, College of Law, and her B.S. in Political Science and Philosophy from Arizona State University. She was admitted to the Arizona bar in 1997. She is also admitted before the US District Courts for Arizona and Colorado and the Ninth and Eleventh Circuits. Her education and admissions support a broad employment, commercial litigation, appellate, and insurance-related practice across state and federal courts.

Debora represents private charter schools, medical facilities, fitness clubs, vacation resorts, car dealerships, law offices, and multifamily housing managers in employment matters. She reviews workplace policies and provides training on ADA, FMLA, and Title VII issues. She also handles insurance coverage disputes, reimbursement matters, and corporate liability cases. She has also been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for employment and commercial litigation. She served as a judge pro tem in Maricopa County Superior Court from 2012 through 2020.
