About

Stephen F. Dial is an Of Counsel attorney devoted to helping California disabled workers pursue benefits through the Subsequent Injury Benefits Trust Fund. With more than 35 years of experience, he represents injured workers whose workplace injuries combine with pre-existing disabilities, creating serious financial and medical challenges.

Stephen earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1979 after receiving his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University in 1976, graduating cum laude and earning Phi Beta Kappa honors. His strong academic background supports his thoughtful, strategic approach to complex disability benefit claims.

Stephen focuses his practice on SIBTF matters, guiding clients through a highly technical process involving medical records, expert testimony, permanent disability ratings, and administrative procedures. He works to build strong claims that show how prior impairments and workplace injuries combine to affect earning capacity.

Stephen understands that SIBTF benefits can provide critical lifetime support for qualifying workers. For clients with pre-existing disabilities and later workplace injuries, these benefits may help preserve financial stability, maintain housing, support families, and provide access to necessary care after life-changing setbacks.

Stephen was admitted to practice in California in 1982 and before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in 1983. As a CAAA member, he has served injured workers throughout California with dedication, experience, and strong legal judgment.

Stephen F. Dial believes disabled workers deserve dignity, security, and knowledgeable representation. Fluent in English and Spanish, he helps clients understand their rights, explore SIBTF eligibility, and pursue benefits available under California law with persistence, compassion, and a long-standing commitment to worker advocacy.
