Stephen earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. He also received a B.A. from the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana. During law school, he distinguished himself in trial work courses that strengthened his courtroom skills. His academic training provided a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and advocacy. This education continues to guide his thorough preparation and strategic approach to each case. He remains committed to ongoing professional development and legal excellence.
Stephen began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender with the North Carolina Court System, representing clients facing charges from juvenile matters to serious felonies. He later served as an Assistant County Attorney with the Rockingham County Attorney’s Office, where he tried numerous jury cases involving DWI and other crimes. In 1991, he established his own practice, continuing to defend clients and advocate for injured individuals throughout the state. He provides steady guidance to clients during difficult legal challenges.
Stephen C. Brown is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and North Carolina, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. He is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, the New Hampshire Association of Justice, and national criminal defense organizations.
