Stella Shimamoto is an accomplished immigration attorney with Hirota & Associates, LLLC in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she represents clients in family-based immigration, business visas, investor visas, deportation defense, and consular law. Since joining the firm in 2012, she has guided clients in Hawaii, across the U.S., and worldwide through complex immigration matters.
Stella earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law, where she also served as a fellow at the Alvin L. Storrs Low-Income Tax Clinic. Stella is a graduate of Boston University with dual majors in English and Classical Civilizations, and she is an alumna of Iolani School in Honolulu. Admitted to practice in Hawaii and the U.S. Tax Court in 2011, she is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and the American Bar Association.
From 2018 to 2021, Stella served as Chapter Chair of the Hawaii Chapter of AILA after holding prior roles as Treasurer and Secretary.
