Stacey L. Janssen

Stacey L. Janssen is the founder of Janssen Estate, Probate & Elder Law, LLC, where she focuses her practice on estate planning, probate administration, and fiduciary litigation. Licensed in both Kansas and Missouri, she brings decades of experience and leadership to helping clients preserve assets and navigate complex legal matters with clarity.

Stacey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Art History from the University of Kansas (1985) and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1988. This educational foundation supports her in offering sound legal guidance tailored to each client’s needs in estate, elder, and fiduciary law.

Before launching her firm in 2022, Stacey co-founded the Kansas Elder Law Hotline, a critical resource still serving thousands annually. Her career reflects a deep commitment to advocacy and education. Stacey frequently presents at legal and community events, covering topics such as Medicaid planning, probate, and ethics.

Stacey has earned distinction for her work, including recognition as a Super Lawyer, Best of the Bar, and recipient of the 2021 KCMBA Distinguished Counselor Award. Her practice is defined by high standards of professionalism and a compassionate approach to serving clients during sensitive life transitions.

Stacey’s professional involvement includes serving as Vice President of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and serving on the board of the Kansas City Estate Planning Symposium. She is also active in the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and various Kansas and Missouri bar associations, reflecting her leadership within the legal community.
