Sheila Mims is a seasoned trial attorney with more than twenty-five years of experience representing individuals in South Carolina courts. Her career reflects a strong commitment to advocacy, with extensive work in circuit and magistrate courts handling matters that require careful preparation and confident courtroom representation.
Sheila earned her undergraduate degree from Pacific Lutheran University in 1994 and later received her Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1998. She was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1998, beginning a legal career rooted in public service and client-centered practice.
Sheila began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Richland County, representing clients in a wide range of criminal matters. She later served as an Assistant Solicitor in both Richland County and Dorchester County, gaining valuable prosecutorial experience and a deeper understanding of trial strategy.
After entering private practice, Sheila expanded her work to include Family Law and Personal Injury. She applies her broad courtroom experience to help clients navigate complex legal and personal challenges with clarity, professionalism, and steady guidance.
