Joseph P. Griffith, Jr. earned a B.A. in English from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1979. He later obtained his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1982. After completing his legal education, he became licensed to practice law in South Carolina and qualified to appear before all state and federal courts in South Carolina, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
