Alexandra Benevento

Alexandra “Ally” Benevento is an experienced South Carolina criminal defense attorney focusing on state and federal criminal matters, civil rights, and complex civil litigation. Since joining Strom Law Firm in 2012, she has represented thousands of individuals in courts across South Carolina and beyond. Alexandra is known for her diligent advocacy, strategic case preparation, and commitment to protecting constitutional rights throughout every stage of the legal process.

Alexandra Benevento earned her J.D. from the University of South Carolina. Before law school, she gained practical legal experience working as a paralegal, which strengthened her understanding of case development and client advocacy. Her legal education and early professional training provided a strong foundation in criminal law, legal writing, and courtroom procedure, supporting her effective representation in both trial and appellate-level matters.

Alexandra’s practice centers on criminal defense at both the state and federal levels, including complex litigation and civil rights cases. She is admitted to the South Carolina Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and has represented clients in federal courts nationwide through pro hac vice admissions. She is certified in DUI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and regularly participates in continuing legal education programs.
