Alex Sanchez

Alex Sanchez is a highly experienced bankruptcy attorney and co-founder of Sanchez Garrison & Associates, LLC in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Sanchez earned his B.A. in Political Science from Boston College and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Global Affairs (Government) from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Sanchez launched his legal career in the early 1990s, concentrating on commercial banking and bankruptcy law. He later moved into high-impact nonprofit leadership, serving as Executive Director of Esperanza and the Hispanic National Bar Association, where he championed education access and professional development for underserved and Hispanic communities. He went on to lead United Neighborhood Centers of America as President and CEO and served as Senior Vice President at United Way of America, directing large-scale community investment and social impact initiatives nationwide.

In 2009, Alex Sanchez returned to government as Maryland’s Secretary of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, followed by his role as Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Baltimore. These positions gave him direct experience shaping policy and protecting consumers and workers. Since founding his firm in 2016, Mr. Sanchez has focused on providing personalized, client-centered legal services in bankruptcy law.
