Sean R. Beck

Sean R. Beck is a Boise estate planning lawyer and partner at Advanced Legal Planning, PLLC, where he leads Medicaid planning and elder law matters. His practice includes estate planning, special needs trusts, disability law, probate, guardianship, conservatorship, settlement planning, and administrative proceedings. He helps individuals and families protect assets, plan for long-term care, and navigate disability, public benefit, and estate planning matters.

Sean earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Idaho State University in 2004, with minors in Russian and Spanish. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2008. During law school, he interned at the Fort Hall Indian Reservation and worked for an international law firm in Moscow, Russia. He also clerked for Chief US District Judge B. Lynn Winmill. He was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 2008.

Sean began his legal career as an Ada County District Court staff attorney before serving as a deputy prosecuting attorney. He gained experience across several legal fields before focusing on services for older adults and people with disabilities. His advocacy includes administrative, state, and federal proceedings involving planning and public-benefit matters. He is admitted before Idaho courts and the US District Court for the District of Idaho.

Sean R. Beck is a Certified Elder Law Attorney through the National Elder Law Foundation, and he has practiced in Boise since 2008. He graduated from the Idaho Academy of Leadership for Lawyers and the Northwest Institute for Dispute Resolution. His professional service includes committee work with the Special Needs Alliance and former board service with the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves on the board of Rylie’s Residence, which develops intentional communities for people with special needs.
