Sean Haran is a founding partner of Walden Macht Haran & Williams LLP, where he serves as Chair of the Executive Committee and leads major white-collar defense and complex litigation matters. Sean earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from the University of Virginia. His academic background, paired with decades of trial and investigative experience, has helped him develop a deep understanding of legal strategy, courtroom advocacy, and federal enforcement trends that shape white-collar practice today. His education laid the foundation for a career spent handling sophisticated and high-visibility matters.

Before entering private practice, Sean served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, trying more than a dozen cases to verdict and supervising prosecutors within the Business and Securities Fraud Section. He managed complex investigations involving securities fraud, health-care fraud, corruption, racketeering, money laundering, tax violations, and national security concerns. This background allows him to anticipate government tactics and protect clients at every stage of an investigation.
