About
Justine Harris is a partner at Harris Trzaskoma LLP and a leading trial lawyer focused on white-collar defense and complex investigations. Known as a “phenomenal advocate,” she brings more than two decades of courtroom experience to high-stakes cases involving federal charges, regulatory scrutiny, and serious criminal exposure. She defends individuals and companies in sensitive matters where liberty, careers, and reputations are on the line.
Justine earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and holds an A.B., magna cum laude, from Harvard College. She clerked for the Honorable Eugene H. Nickerson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Her academic achievements and early clerkship helped shape the strong analytical and advocacy skills she uses in complex federal litigation.
Before entering private practice, Justine spent nine years as a federal public defender. That experience strengthened her ability to litigate difficult cases, secure acquittals, win dismissals, and achieve favorable sentencing outcomes. She has handled matters involving insider trading, bribery, campaign finance issues, securities fraud, RICO, tax fraud, and terrorism-related charges. She also guides executives, officers, and companies through grand jury proceedings and investigations by the SEC, CFPB, CFTC, and the New York Attorney General.
Throughout her career, Justine Harris has earned recognition from Chambers USA, Super Lawyers, Lawdragon, and Best Lawyers. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a rare distinction reserved for top trial lawyers in the United States and Canada. She serves in several leadership roles, including vice-president of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers, and is a frequent lecturer on trial practice and federal criminal defense. Her results and reputation reflect her dedication to strategic, rigorous, and client-focused advocacy.
