Sean Estes

Sean Estes is a founding member of Hoyer Law Group, PLLC and serves as Managing Partner in the firm’s Tampa office. His practice focuses on employment law, business law, and whistleblower matters. He represents business owners, employees, and whistleblowers in disputes involving workplace conflicts, business issues, retaliation, and claims. He also brings experience handling consumer disputes, consumer class actions, and litigation developed over more than a decade of practice.

Sean earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2008 and his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Florida in 2005, with majors in Economics and Political Science. During his studies, he interned for the Honorable Peter K. Sieg of Florida’s Eighth Judicial Circuit and for the Office of the State Attorney in Levy County, gaining exposure to courtroom and prosecutorial work.

Sean has worked on litigation with national impact, including a consumer class action involving more than 200 million individuals and the Drivers’ Privacy Protection Act. He was appointed Class Counsel in actions that produced settlements totaling more than $4 million for victims of payday loan rollover schemes. In whistleblower litigation, he served on a trial team that obtained a verdict for a client after a two-week retaliation trial against a financial institution.

Sean Estes is licensed to practice in Florida state and federal courts and the Western District of Wisconsin. His professional involvement includes the Ferguson-White American Inn of Court, The Florida Bar’s Solo and Small Firm Section Executive Council, Annual Convention Committee, and a Grievance Committee, where he serves as Vice Chair. He serves as an editing attorney for Thomson Reuters’ Practical Law Labor & Employment on Hiring Requirements in Florida.
