David L. Cook is Managing Partner at Harris Cook, LLP, where he practices family law, real estate law, and business law. Board-certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2008, he handles complex property division, contested child custody, and other family disputes, often representing business owners. He also brings litigation and mediation experience to matters requiring careful preparation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy across North Texas.
David earned his J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, now Texas A&M University School of Law, in 1996. He earned his B.A. in Public Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1992, with minors in Management and Administrative Law. His legal training also included certification as a mediator and family law mediator, providing additional preparation for resolving contested matters through structured negotiation and effective alternative dispute resolution.
David was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1997 and to the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas in 2001.
