Sean Collin

Sean Collin is the Managing Partner of Collin Basit Law Group, where he leads the firm’s Marital and Family Law practice with professionalism, empathy, and strategic insight. With a career spanning nearly two decades, he is recognized for his ability to guide clients through some of life’s most challenging transitions with clarity and compassion.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Sean went on to earn both his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Nova Southeastern University. This rare dual credential enables him to combine legal acumen with a strong understanding of financial and business dynamics — an essential skill set in high-asset divorces, equitable distribution matters, and complex family law litigation.

Sean began his legal career as a prosecutor at the Broward State Attorney’s Office, where he honed his courtroom advocacy and negotiation skills. He was later recruited by the prestigious firm Adorno & Yoss, concentrating on marital and family law. In 2010, driven by a passion for providing personalized and results-focused representation, he established his own practice. A decade later, he co-founded Collin Basit Law Group, a modern, client-centered firm dedicated to excellence in family law.

As a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, Sean is deeply committed to helping clients achieve fair and amicable resolutions outside of court whenever possible. His balanced approach—grounded in professionalism, empathy, and precision—has earned him the trust of clients across South Florida.
