Christine Smith

Christine Smith, ESQ., is an accomplished Florida attorney known for her compassionate representation in family law, business litigation, and cases involving child welfare. Since 2006, she has devoted her career to protecting vulnerable children and supporting families through complex legal challenges with empathy, skill, and unwavering professionalism.

Christine earned her B.S. in Information Technology from the University of South Florida – 1996, graduating with high honors. She later achieved her J.D. from Stetson University in 2006, where she graduated with honors before beginning her legal career with the L. David Shear Children’s Law Center of Bay Area Legal Services. This nonprofit center provides essential legal support to abused, neglected, and abandoned children—a mission that helped shape her lifelong dedication to justice.

Christine transitioned into private practice in 2011, expanding her focus to include family law, custody disputes, business litigation, and personal injury. Her early career as a computer programmer and business analyst strengthened her analytical and problem-solving abilities, which she now applies to complex legal issues. She is admitted to practice in Florida and continues to serve her community with professionalism and integrity.

Christine has been actively engaged in numerous professional and community organizations throughout her career. She has held leadership roles with the Hillsborough County Bar Association, serving on its Youth Events Committee and Leadership Institute, and as Secretary of the Board.
