Scott N. Alperin is the principal attorney of Alperin Law, where he represents individuals, families, and businesses in estate planning, elder law, disability planning, asset protection, and trust administration. He also advises on Medicaid, veterans’ benefits, long-term care, and real estate transactions, bringing a comprehensive approach to protecting client assets and futures.

Scott earned his B.A. in French Language and Literature from the University of Virginia before graduating magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school, he served on Law Review and as Associate Articles Editor of the Law Forum. Following graduation, Scott clerked for the Honorable Glenn T. Harrell, Jr. of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, gaining critical appellate and judicial experience.

Scott is recognized as both an Estate Planning Law Specialist and an Accredited Estate Planner, designations that reflect advanced knowledge and adherence to high ethical standards in estate planning. He is also accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs and holds the “AV Preeminent” peer rating from Martindale Hubbell for professional excellence and integrity in practice.

A leader in elder law, Scott is a past president of the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He teaches elder law as an adjunct professor at William & Mary Law School and has served on the boards of the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Virginia and Jewish Family Service of Tidewater. His involvement in Vanguard Landing and other initiatives demonstrates his commitment to special needs advocacy.
