About

Scott Kendall is of counsel at Cashion Gilmore & Lindemuth in Anchorage, where he works on government-related matters, litigation, appellate advocacy, and strategic counseling. His practice includes administrative law, constitutional law, elections and campaign finance, ballot measures, governmental affairs, natural resources, voting rights, and civil litigation. He also advises on strategic communications and represents organizations and individuals before agencies including the Alaska Public Offices Commission and Federal Election Commission.

Kendall earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law in 2003 and a Bachelor of Arts from Western Washington University in 2000. Early in his career, he served as law clerk to Chief Judge Robert G. Coats of the Alaska Court of Appeals. His legal education and appellate clerkship provided a strong foundation for statutory analysis, constitutional issues, written advocacy, and the evaluation of complex public-law disputes.

Kendall has represented candidates, nonprofit organizations, industry coalitions, ballot measure groups, and independent expenditure organizations in election-related matters. He also served as campaign coordinator for a U.S. Senate reelection campaign and later as chief of staff to Alaska Governor Bill Walker. His appellate record includes matters involving recalls, election procedures, ballot measures, and constitutional questions before Alaska’s courts, alongside broader civil and administrative litigation.

Scott Kendall brings legal, governmental, and strategic experience to matters that often sit at the intersection of law, public policy, and communications. He is a member of the Alaska Bar Association and has served on community boards in Alaska. His background in litigation, appellate practice, state government, and election law helps clients understand procedural requirements, assess public-law risks, and navigate disputes involving government agencies, political processes, and regulatory systems.
