Scott J. Fishwick

Scott J. Fishwick is a Shareholder in the Litigation Department at Butzel, where he represents public and private companies, corporate officers, and prominent individuals in high-stakes business and financial disputes. His litigation practice spans complex contractual issues, class action defense, securities litigation, and arbitration across state and federal courts.

Scott earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a Contributing Editor for the Michigan Law Review. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Dartmouth College. He began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Victoria A. Roberts of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Before joining Butzel, Scott practiced for over a decade at international law firms in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, handling major disputes in finance, technology, real estate, manufacturing, and the sports industry. His extensive experience in litigation and arbitration enables him to deliver sharp, business-focused legal strategies.
