Paul Grossman is a partner in the Employment Law Department at Paul Hastings, LLP, based in Los Angeles. With decades of experience, he represents large private employers in all areas of employment law. His focus includes class actions, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, and whistleblower cases. Known for his strong courtroom skills and sharp legal strategies, Mr. Grossman has helped clients successfully resolve complex employment disputes. Since 2017, he has mediated about 55 employment class action cases, most of which were settled in a single session.
Mr. Grossman earned his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1964, where he served on the Board of Editors of the Yale Law Journal. He received his B.A. from Amherst College in 1961.
Mr. Grossman also serves as General Counsel of the California Employment Law Council (CELC), a group of around 70 major employers. In this role, he works to shape fair and effective employment laws in California. The CELC supports legislative efforts, education, and legal advocacy, often filing amicus briefs in key cases. His leadership has helped create balanced laws that protect both workers and employers.
Paul Grossman has been recognized multiple times for his work. Chambers USA named him a “Senior Statesmen” for California labor and employment in 2024. The Legal 500 also recognized him in 2018. Earlier, The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers honored him as a leading global lawyer in labor and employment. Mr. Grossman’s work has made a lasting impact on employment law in California. He continues to be a trusted voice in both the courtroom and the broader legal community.
