Scott E. Squillace, Esq., AEP® is the founder and principal of Squillace & Associates, P.C., a boutique law firm based in Boston’s historic Back Bay. With more than 36 years of experience, he focuses his practice on estate and tax planning, business counseling, and philanthropic planning for individuals, families, and business owners. Known for thoughtful guidance and deep knowledge, Scott helps high-net-worth clients protect their wealth and plan for the future with clear, practical solutions. He is especially recognized for his work serving international clients and the LGBTQ+ community.
Scott earned his B.A. from Fordham College and completed the Diplôme program at Sorbonne University in Paris, France. He then earned his J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America. He is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP), and a Master Certified Independent Trustee with the Independent Trustee Alliance.
Scott E. Squillace began his career as a corporate lawyer at Skadden Arps, helping open offices in Paris and Moscow and working extensively on international deals. He later served as General Counsel for Levi Strauss & Co.’s European division and for Grand Circle Travel. He has lived and worked in Europe for a decade and brings a global perspective to each client matter.
As a trusted speaker, writer, and author of Whether to Wed: A Legal and Tax Guide for Gay and Lesbian Couples, Scott has long championed the unique needs of same-sex couples. He has served on many boards, including The Boston Foundation, Eastern Bank, and MCLE.
