Scott Burton is a seasoned bankruptcy attorney and the founder of North County Bankruptcy Clinic. Mr. Burton earned his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 1980, attending law school in the evenings while working full-time. He previously completed his associate’s degree at Palomar College in 1976. His disciplined educational path laid the foundation for a focused and hardworking legal career.

After passing the California Bar in 1980, Mr. Burton began his legal practice at Century Law Offices in Vista. Just two years later, he established his own firm, North County Bankruptcy Clinic, and relocated the office to its current San Marcos location in 1988, where he continues to serve clients with consistency and care.

Mr. Burton focuses his practice solely on bankruptcy law, assisting clients with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings and providing clear, strategic guidance throughout the bankruptcy process. His decades of experience make him a trusted resource for debt relief in North County.
