Sarah Zwach

Sarah Zwach is a criminal defense attorney with experience in prosecution, defense work, indigent defense, and courtroom advocacy. Her practice supports clients facing criminal charges, investigations, hearings, and trial-related decisions. Sarah earned a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School with a concentration in criminal law. She also earned a B.A. in sociology and legal studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with a certificate in criminal justice. Her education supports legal research, written advocacy, trial preparation, and client counseling. During law school, she completed restorative justice clinical work, moot court, mock trial, and criminal defense advocacy training.

Sarah began her legal career with strong training in criminal law and public service. After law school, she worked at the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office as a special prosecutor. She later moved into criminal defense and became the managing partner of a defense practice in 2018. Her experience on both sides of criminal cases helps her evaluate evidence, anticipate arguments, and prepare clients for contested court proceedings and trial hearings.
