George P. Kallas

George P. Kallas brings more than two decades of criminal law experience to clients facing serious legal charges in Illinois. As a former DuPage County Felony Prosecutor and defense attorney, he has managed thousands of criminal matters involving drug offenses, DUI charges, reckless homicide, and murder cases. His courtroom background gives him valuable insight into prosecution strategies and trial preparation.

George earned his B.S. in Political Science from Valparaiso University in Indiana with honors and with distinction. He later received his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1993 and also gained admission to the U.S. District Court Northern District of Illinois in 1993.

George has handled more than 5,000 felony criminal cases during his time with the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office. He served as a Special Assistant in the Major Crimes/Narcotics Bureau, where he focused on Class X drug charges and other major felony matters. His legal work also included prosecuting local criminal cases for municipalities such as West Chicago, Wood Dale, Roselle, and Maple Park.

George focuses his practice on criminal defense matters, including DUI, drug crimes, domestic battery, traffic defense, felony crimes, juvenile crimes, pardons, and expungements. His background as both a prosecutor and defense attorney allows him to carefully evaluate evidence, identify weaknesses in a case, and build strong defense strategies designed to protect his clients and their rights throughout the legal process.
