Ronald (Ron) C. Sykstus

Ronald (Ron) C. Sykstus is the managing partner at Bond, Botes, Sykstus & Tanner, P.C., with offices located in Huntsville, Decatur, and Cullman, Alabama. Ron holds a B.A. in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Arizona. He earned his J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law. During law school, he served as president of the Moot Court Competition Board and was chosen as commencement speaker.

After law school, Ron began his legal career on active duty in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps, first serving as a military prosecutor and later as Senior Defense Counsel. He handled a wide range of high-stakes matters, including courts-martial, administrative proceedings, and national security cases, earning two Meritorious Service Medals for his work. After his honorable discharge, Ron joined the Bond & Botes law firm, where he now leverages his military and courtroom experience to help individuals and families navigate complex legal challenges.
