About
Robin J. Peterson founded an Ohio law practice focused on workers’ compensation. Based in the Independence area, he represents injured workers and their families in claims involving workplace accidents, occupational harm, and disputed benefits. His legal work includes appeals, administrative hearings, and related court proceedings. He established the practice in July 2000 after years of representing workers in larger legal organizations.
Robin received a B.A. in Accounting from Kent State University in 1985, where he was a scholarship athlete in the football program. He earned his J.D. from Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1991 and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1992. His education and early law clerk work laid the groundwork for a career focused on evaluating injury claims and navigating administrative disputes.
Robin began his legal career as a full-time law clerk under workers’ compensation attorney Barry Trattner. He later joined Nurenberg Paris, where he progressed from law clerk to associate and principal and led the firm’s workers’ compensation practice for more than six years. Since founding his own practice, he has handled thousands of appeals and Industrial Commission hearings, as well as proceedings in Ohio courts.
Robin J. Peterson is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association for Justice, and Association of Trial Lawyers of America. His experience is concentrated on the process injured employees use to seek and defend workers’ compensation benefits. He brings familiarity with both administrative review and court litigation to disputes involving workplace injuries, benefit eligibility, and appeals of contested decisions.
