About

Jason Tremblay is the Chicago office managing partner of Saul Ewing and vice chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice. He advises companies across many industries on employment law and commercial matters. His work covers wage and hour disputes, restrictive covenants, discrimination and retaliation claims, workplace investigations, employment agreements, and governmental audits. He also handles complex business disputes and serves in an outside general counsel role for clients needing coordinated legal guidance.

Jason earned his J.D. with High Honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law and his B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College. He also studied at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. His academic background supports a practice combining litigation, counseling, and business problem solving. He uses that foundation to help employers interpret workplace obligations, prepare agreements and policies, manage disputes, and respond to regulatory or operational issues before they grow into larger legal problems.

Jason represents employers in wage and hour litigation, employee classification disputes, restrictive covenant cases, discrimination matters, and other contested workplace issues. He drafts and negotiates employment and independent contractor agreements, conducts audits and investigations, and advises on human resource policies. His commercial litigation work includes contract, fiduciary duty, fraud, interference, and shareholder disputes. He has represented clients in education, technology, manufacturing, construction, property management, food and beverage, retail, and other industries.

Jason Tremblay has more than 26 years of legal experience and has spent his career at Saul Ewing. He has been recognized as a Benchmark Litigation Future Star in Illinois and selected to the Illinois Super Lawyers list for Employment & Labor. His leadership role reflects a practice built around practical counseling, litigation readiness, and business-focused solutions. He helps employers evaluate legal risk while keeping operational needs, workforce relationships, and long-term objectives in view.
