Robert L. Wyatt, IV

Robert L. Wyatt, IV, has practiced criminal defense law in Oklahoma since 1989. His work focuses on white collar crimes, drug crimes, sex crimes, violent offenses, investigations, trials, negotiations, and appeals. He has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts throughout Oklahoma and in several other jurisdictions nationwide.

Robert earned a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1989. He received a B.S. from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1986, graduating summa cum laude. His double major included Business Administration and Economics. During law school, he worked with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Robert has received recognition from Best Lawyers in America, Oklahoma Super Lawyers, and U.S. News Best Law Firms. He was named Lawyer of the Year several times for Criminal Defense White Collar, and Non-White Collar work in Oklahoma City. Super Lawyers also listed him among Oklahoma’s Top 50 Lawyers.

Robert has appeared in at least sixty Oklahoma counties and in all three federal courts within the state. His practice includes investigations, jury trials, plea negotiations, and appeals involving felony charges. He also represents clients in federal courts outside Oklahoma and accepts matters nationwide when needed.

Robert has served on the Criminal Law Committee for the United States District Court in the Western District of Oklahoma since 2012. He also served as President of the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association from 2020 through 2023. He teaches seminars covering ethics, trial practice, evidence, and criminal procedure.

Robert L. Wyatt, IV, is licensed in Oklahoma state courts, Oklahoma federal district courts, the United States Supreme Court, and federal appellate courts. He also holds admission in several Texas federal courts and the Muscogee Creek Nation Tribal Court. His office provides defense services from Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
