Robert F. Green is a respected intellectual property attorney with decades of experience in pharmaceutical patent litigation. As the founding partner of Green, Griffith & Associates LLP, he has been a leading figure in the legal industry since the passage of the Hatch-Waxman Act in 1984. His work has influenced more than 40 drug products. Mr. Green represents both brand-name and generic pharmaceutical companies in complex cases involving patents, regulatory strategy, and FDA-related matters. He offers tailored legal advice, aligning intellectual property strategy with clients’ business goals.
Mr. Green earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He later completed his J.D. at the John Marshall Law School. He is also a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Throughout his career, Mr. Green has served as lead counsel in numerous high-profile patent litigations and inter partes review (IPR) proceedings. His litigation victories have allowed clients to launch generic drugs, preserve market exclusivity, or secure favorable settlements. He has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and other courts across the country. Before founding his firm in 2015, he was Vice President at Leydig, Voit & Mayer, Ltd., and served as patent counsel for Akzo and Celanese Chemical.
