Robert C. Kotz is a founding member of Kotz Sangster Wysocki P.C., where he advises closely held entrepreneurial companies on business and transactional matters. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, real estate law, general business law, tax law, commercial contracts, corporate finance, and governance. He assists with business formation, partnerships, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, licensing, construction matters, and real estate issues. His work centers on helping growth-driven companies structure transactions and address long-term business needs.
Robert earned a B.A., with honors, from Michigan State University. He later received his J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law. His undergraduate and legal education provided a foundation for his work involving corporate structures, transactions, taxation, financing, and complex business relationships.
Robert advises companies in industries that include aerospace, automotive supply, distribution, and general manufacturing. He has served on company boards and counseled boards on business strategy, corporate governance, succession planning, strategic planning, and compliance. His work includes mergers and acquisitions, private equity and exit transactions, corporate planning, financing arrangements, government contracting, and succession planning for business owners.
