Robert A. Fagella is a seasoned attorney with over 25 years of experience in civil litigation, focusing on labor and employment law, employee benefits, and appellate litigation. He has successfully represented clients in both state and federal courts, handling cases involving workplace discrimination, harassment, whistleblower claims, and other employment disputes. His legal expertise includes advising organizations and individuals on compliance with state and federal labor law.
Robert earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law in 1977, graduating with honors. He completed his undergraduate studies at New York University in 1973, earning a B.A. cum laude. Admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1977, he is also authorized to practice in federal and state courts in New Jersey and New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. His legal education and credentials have shaped his ability to handle complex litigation matters effectively.
Throughout his career, Robert has effectively represented employers and employees in arbitration and before key labor and employment agencies, including the Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC), the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and multiple state and federal administrative bodies. He has played a central role in numerous published and unpublished court decisions, helping shape employment law and reinforcing his status as a trusted leader in the field. From 1978 to 1983, he served as a Deputy Attorney General, a role that sharpened his litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills in complex workplace disputes.
In addition to his legal practice, Robert A. Fagella has contributed to the legal community as an adjunct professor at Seton Hall Law School. Currently, he serves on the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Professional Ethics.
