Rick Landers

Rick Landers is a Partner at Axilon Law, practicing from the firm’s Bozeman Office. His practice focuses on construction and real estate law, business litigation and transactions, insurance coverage and defense, banking and finance, and transportation and trucking matters. He represents clients in litigation, arbitration, and transactional work, bringing more than 23 years of experience to disputes, deals, and commercial legal issues across Montana for businesses and individuals.

Rick earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia in 1997 and his B.S. in Management, with Honors, from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1994. He is a member of the Montana and Georgia bars. His education and business background support a practice that combines commercial transactions with litigation, allowing him to advise clients on both deal structure and disputes involving property, contracts, financing, and business operations in Montana.

Rick represents clients in construction defect and contract disputes, real estate and business contract matters, premises liability claims, and mortgage lending disputes. He also defends architects, engineers, and other professionals against professional liability claims. In transactional matters, he assists with the purchase, sale, and financing of businesses and real estate while advising startups on contracts, formation-related concerns, and other commercial transactions that require practical legal guidance and careful planning statewide.

Rick Landers is admitted to practice in all Montana state and federal courts and before the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He approaches both transactions and lawsuits with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset aimed at helping clients manage risk, resolve disputes, and move matters forward efficiently.
