Richard V. Neill, Jr

Richard V. Neill, Jr. is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer with over four decades of experience in complex civil litigation. Since joining the firm in 1983, his practice has encompassed a broad range of civil matters, including auto accidents, malpractice claims, trust and probate disputes, and real estate litigation—currently emphasizing eminent domain and property rights cases.

Richard earned his Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College in 1980 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in 1983. Following graduation, he began his career at what is now known as the SLC Firm, where he has maintained a diverse and respected legal practice. Richard also handles real estate transactions, title services, and business formation and sales.

Richard has served as Town Attorney for St. Lucie Village since 1989 and held roles as attorney for the District Board of Trustees of Indian River State College (2017–2022) and the St. Lucie County Contractor Examining Board (2022). In 2023, he became the special magistrate for the St. Lucie County Board of Adjustment.

Certified as a Circuit Civil and County Court Mediator by the Florida Supreme Court since 2007, Richard brings negotiation strength to every case. His leadership extends to professional activities, including serving on the Florida Bar Eminent Domain Committee and the Judicial Liaison Committee of the St. Lucie County Bar Association, which he chaired from 2014 to 2021.
