Mr. Currie served for nine years at the NYC Department of Buildings, where he was the Litigation Field Supervisor and Deputy Director for the Enforcement Unit before entering private practice. In this role, he managed a team of more than a dozen attorneys handling specialized litigation before the OATH/ECB Tribunal. He also advised borough commissioners, senior management, and technical staff on zoning rules, construction codes, and legislative issues affecting development across the city. His government experience enables him to understand how agencies operate and to defend or advance a client’s position effectively.
Vivian Currie has helped individuals, property owners, and businesses throughout his career resolve serious enforcement matters, including cases involving building collapses, unsafe construction practices, illegal conversions, and violations involving licensed professionals.
