Richard C. Weinblatt

Richard C. Weinblatt is a partner at Stamoulis & Weinblatt, LLC, and an accomplished intellectual property litigator with over 20 years of experience. His practice emphasizes patent litigation and appellate work, though he also counsels clients on trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and portfolio management. He has represented Fortune 100 corporations, universities, start-ups, and international businesses in protecting and enforcing their intellectual property rights.

Richard earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware in 1998 and his Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 2001, where he served as Senior Lead Articles Editor of The Journal of Contemporary Health Law and Policy. He became a registered patent agent in 2000 and is admitted to practice in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Before co-founding Stamoulis & Weinblatt, Richard worked at WolfBlock LLP and Fish & Richardson, P.C., gaining experience across all aspects of intellectual property law. His practice includes patent prosecution, infringement and validity opinions, freedom-to-operate analyses, and litigation strategies. He has handled technologies ranging from semiconductors and computer hardware to consumer products, medical devices, and software.

Richard has argued numerous cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Notably, he secured a reversal in Visual Memory, LLC v. NVIDIA Corp. (2017), a decision recognized by IPWatchdog as one of the year’s most significant rulings. In 2024, Patexia named him among the top 25 attorneys for Federal Circuit cases.

Richard C. Weinblatt’s honors include being named a Super Lawyers Rising Star (2012–2016) and an “IP Star” by Managing Intellectual Property (2013–2024). He is also certified as a mediator and commercial arbitrator, offering clients effective dispute resolution alongside skilled litigation advocacy.
