Ricardo Elorza is an experienced immigration attorney who represents clients across the full spectrum of immigration law. From adjustment of status and naturalizations to asylum, waivers, and Ninth Circuit appeals, he offers clients practical, creative, and determined legal representation at every stage of their cases.
Elorza earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where his commitment to immigrant rights began through grassroots advocacy and nonprofit work. His academic success and early legal experience, including internships at a top Los Angeles immigration firm and the California Superior Court, laid the foundation for his legal career.
Elorza later earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. While in law school, Attorney Elorza held competitive internships with Fortune 500 companies Qualcomm Inc. and Sony Electronics and participated in the Moot Court Honor Society, refining his legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
Over the years, Elorza has earned a strong reputation for creative, results-driven advocacy in complex immigration cases. He handles a wide range of immigration matters, including U visas, VAWA, DACA, TPS, SIJS, T visas, and deportation defense/removal defense. Elorza has successfully represented clients before USCIS, EOIR (Immigration Court), the AAO, the BIA, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Elorza is admitted to practice law in California and Minnesota and is fluent in English and Spanish. He actively contributes to the community through pro bono work with Catholic Charities of San Diego and La Maestra Health Centers and serves in leadership roles with the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association.
