About

Brennan Gian-Grasso is a founding partner at Gian-Grasso & Tomczak Immigration Law Firm, where he focuses exclusively on immigration law. With extensive experience in removal defense and crimmigration matters, he is a trusted advocate for non-citizens facing deportation and other complex immigration issues.

Brennan earned his J.D. from Temple University, Beasley School of Law (2006). He holds an M.Sc. in Economic History from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Pennsylvania (2000).

Brennan practices removal defense in both detained and non-detained cases. He has litigated successfully before Immigration Courts in Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, Baltimore, and Orlando, as well as the Board of Immigration Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. His areas of expertise include cancellation of removal, waivers for fraud or criminal activity, asylum, and withholding of removal.

Brennan also advocates for detained clients, securing bond and parole, and employs advanced strategies like Motions to Suppress to challenge ICE enforcement tactics. Beyond litigation, Brennan assists individuals and families with affirmative immigration benefits, including I-130 petitions, SIJ, VAWA, U visas, DACA, TPS, and naturalization.

Brennan’s background in criminal justice enables him to advise defense attorneys on minimizing immigration consequences in plea deals and sentencing. He prepares legal memoranda and collaborates on PCRA filings and sentence modifications to protect immigrant clients.

Brennan Gian-Grasso serves as a legal adviser to the Mexican Consulate in Philadelphia and actively contributes to the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where he has served in leadership roles.
