Riah Winston Greathouse has served as counsel of record in more than 1000+ criminal and civil matters throughout the State of Georgia since being admitted to practice law. He has achieved a high success rate while representing clients in a wide range of cases. His courtroom experience gives him strong insight into trial strategy and case development.
Riah earned his law degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, graduating in the Top 10% of his law school class. During law school, he completed internships with Judge Clarence Cooper of the United States District Court in the Northern District of Georgia and Chief Judge Myra H. Dixon of the State Court of Fulton County, Georgia. These experiences helped him understand how judges evaluate cases and what they expect of attorneys.
Riah began his career at a premier DUI defense firm, where he represented many individuals charged with DUI offenses. He earned certification in National Highway Traffic Safety Administration DUI Detection & Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and attended the National College for DUI Defense at Harvard, strengthening his knowledge in DUI defense.
Riah later served as an Assistant District Attorney in Fulton County, Georgia, prosecuting cases ranging from drug offenses to violent felonies. His experience as a prosecutor gives him valuable insight into how the State builds arguments and evaluates evidence.
Riah Winston Greathouse also represented injured victims and estates in wrongful death actions at a nationally recognized plaintiff’s firm, recovering millions for clients through dedicated advocacy and careful case preparation.
