Scott R. Pool

Scott R. Pool is a highly respected trial and appellate attorney at Gibbs Pool and Turner P.C. Attorneys, with more than three decades of experience representing clients across Missouri. He focuses on civil trial and appellate practice, complex civil litigation, professional liability, employment discrimination, business litigation, insurance coverage disputes, construction litigation, and workers’ compensation lawsuits and disputes. He has successfully handled cases in Federal, State, and administrative courts. Scott is known for his careful case preparation, strong courtroom presence, and practical approach to resolving disputes. He evaluates each case to determine whether early resolution or aggressive litigation will best protect his client’s interests. His work has helped individuals, businesses, insurers, and professionals resolve serious legal challenges, including wrongful death claims, significant personal injury matters, and complex commercial disputes.

Scott earned his undergraduate degree from Missouri State University. He then got his J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law, where he made the Dean’s List and received the BNA Academic Achievement Award. His legal education provided a strong foundation in research, advocacy, and ethical practice, which continues to guide his work today.

Scott has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri since 1999. He also serves as a Hearing Officer for the Missouri Ethics Commission, reviewing complaints involving conflict of interest, lobbying, and campaign finance laws. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Assistant Attorney General for Missouri, handling criminal, civil, and administrative cases.
