Raven E. Sword is a seasoned attorney recognized for her wide-ranging legal background and steadfast dedication to justice. With a career that includes both prosecution and private practice, she approaches each case with balanced insight and determination. Her work has guided countless individuals and families through complex legal challenges with professionalism and care.
Raven earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with Class Honors in Political Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1999. While completing her studies, she was chosen to serve as a White House Intern in the Domestic Policy Council, preparing policy memoranda presented to President Bill Clinton. She later attended George Washington University Law School, obtaining her Juris Doctor in 2002. During law school, she clerked with the Department of Justice’s Federal Torts Claims Act Office and contributed to trial preparation in the Waco case, gaining invaluable courtroom experience early in her career.
Raven began her legal career as a deputy prosecutor in Anderson, Indiana, where she prosecuted both felony and misdemeanor cases. She then joined Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C., a leading Michigan law firm, where her practice included criminal defense, shareholder disputes, commercial real estate litigation, and contract matters. After moving to Florida in 2006, she broadened her expertise to include bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, family law, landlord/tenant issues, and real estate and business litigation.
Raven E. Sword has been honored for her commitment to community service and access to justice. In 2010, she received the Florida Supreme Court Pro Bono Service Award in recognition of completing more than 150 hours of pro bono work. Her dedication to ethical advocacy and client-focused representation continues to define her respected legal career.
