Rasheedah R. Terry

Rasheedah R. Terry, Esq., is the founder of Terry Law Group, LLC, where she represents clients in criminal defense, family law, civil litigation, business services, and personal injury. Since opening her practice in 2007, she has successfully managed hundreds of cases in the Superior Court of New Jersey, earning dismissals, acquittals, and favorable judgments.

Ms. Terry graduated magna cum laude from Seton Hall University in 2001 with a B.A. and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Seton Hall Pre-Law Review. She earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law in 2004, where she participated in the Environmental Law and Tax Litigation Clinics. She later completed an LL.M. in Banking, Corporate & Finance Law at Fordham University in 2008.

Before founding her own firm, Ms. Terry worked as an associate at two major law firms in New Jersey. She gained experience in diverse practice areas, including criminal law, immigration, employment law, workers’ compensation, contracts, medical malpractice, education law, and civil rights. Early in her career, she contributed to a $500,000 discrimination case victory, highlighting her skill and dedication.

A prolific writer, Ms. Terry has authored hundreds of trial and appellate briefs, many of which have resulted in successful outcomes for her clients. In 2009, her work was featured in the New Jersey Law Journal after her challenge to the state’s use of videotape deposition led to the reversal of a client’s conviction on appeal.
