Randall L. Jackson is an attorney with Ellis Law Offices, P.C., in Indianola, Iowa, with more than 27 years of legal experience. He represents individuals and businesses in criminal defense, family and juvenile matters, estate and probate proceedings, debtor-creditor disputes, real estate transactions, corporate matters, and civil and criminal appeals. Jackson earned his J.D. from Drake Law School in 1997 after receiving a B.S. in Political Science from Northwest Missouri State University in 1994. He began his legal career as an Assistant County Attorney in Black Hawk County, representing the State in numerous criminal jury and non-jury trials. His education and prosecutorial experience provided a strong foundation in courtroom procedure, legal analysis, evidence, and case strategy.
After moving to the Des Moines area in 2002, Jackson entered private practice and expanded his work across a broad range of legal matters. He assists creditors with recovering unpaid debts and retrieving assets, guides individuals and businesses through real estate transactions and corporate dealings, and represents clients in emotionally demanding family, juvenile, probate, and criminal cases. His appellate experience includes arguing civil and criminal matters before the Iowa Supreme Court and the Iowa Court of Appeals.
Randall L. Jackson has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 attorney. He also contributes to legal education and community involvement by serving as a volunteer mock trial coach and judge. Jackson brings experience from both prosecution and private practice to each matter, helping clients understand their options, prepare for court, manage risk, and pursue practical resolutions in disputes, transactions, and appeals throughout Central Iowa.
