Bret Whipple

Bret Whipple is the founding attorney of Justice Law Center and represents injured clients in Ely and throughout Nevada. His personal injury practice includes car and truck accidents, slip-and-fall incidents, dog bites, wrongful death, and other claims involving negligent conduct. Whipple helps clients pursue compensation for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and related losses. The firm offers free case reviews and handles injury claims without upfront fees, collecting a fee only when it obtains a recovery.

Whipple earned his law degree from the University of Arizona in 1995. He previously received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1987 and began his professional career as a certified public accountant. His combined education in business, finance, and law supports his ability to analyze damages, evaluate financial records, and address the legal and economic issues that arise in personal injury claims and complex civil disputes.

Whipple began his legal career as a prosecutor with the Pima County Attorney’s Office. After moving to Nevada, he spent three years with the Clark County Public Defender’s Office and another three years with the Special Public Defender’s Office, where he handled murder and death penalty cases. He founded Justice Law Center in 2005 and has since developed a broad litigation practice involving personal injury, criminal defense, family law, property disputes, federal cases, and tax matters.

Bret Whipple has served as chair of the State Bar of Nevada’s Tax Section and as a member and chair of the Nevada Board of Regents. He has also received the Distinguished Nevadan Award in recognition of his service. His extensive trial background helps him investigate claims, assess evidence, prepare persuasive legal strategies, and negotiate from a position of readiness.
