Robert Dolan

Robert Dolan is the founder of Dolan Law, LLC in Winnemucca, Nevada. His broad rural Nevada practice includes employment law, civil rights, commercial litigation, criminal defense, administrative law, and other civil matters. In employment cases, he advises clients who believe they have faced unlawful workplace discrimination or wrongful discharge. Dolan evaluates the facts, identifies possible remedies under state or federal law, and develops practical strategies designed to protect each client’s rights and interests.

Dolan earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law. He was admitted to practice in New York in 1981, the District of Columbia in 1983, and Nevada in 1997. He is also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. His legal education and multijurisdictional experience support careful analysis of complex employment, constitutional, and litigation issues.

Before establishing Dolan Law in 2005, Dolan worked as a Deputy Nevada State Public Defender and handled matters from both the defense and prosecution perspectives. He is qualified in Nevada to serve as lead counsel in death penalty cases and has argued before the United States Supreme Court. His appellate experience includes Hiibel v. Sixth Judicial District Court, a significant search-and-seizure case, as well as civil and criminal appeals before the Nevada Supreme Court.

Robert Dolan was named Co-Peace Officer of the Year in Humboldt County in 2005 for his work helping secure convictions against members of a local drug-trafficking organization. He brings decades of courtroom and appellate experience to clients in Winnemucca and surrounding rural communities. By listening closely, analyzing legal risks, and preparing a clear course of action, Dolan helps clients address employment disputes and other serious legal matters with informed, focused representation.
