Rachel J. Lewis

Rachel J. Lewis is a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP whose practice focuses on complex commercial real estate transactions across the United States. She represents institutional owners, investors, large banks, corporate end-users, and investment managers in matters involving the acquisition, disposition, leasing, development, and financing of a wide range of commercial properties. Her experience spans multifamily housing, office buildings, industrial complexes, healthcare facilities, retail centers, mixed-use projects, and large parcels of land.

Lewis earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, her M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania, and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. Her strong academic background supports her ability to analyze complex real estate structures, negotiate multistate portfolio transactions, and manage high-value development deals. Her training has contributed to her strategic approach in advising clients on refinancing transactions, ground lease arrangements, and large-scale development negotiations.

Throughout her career, Lewis has advised on significant real estate matters, including major ground lease development projects and structuring leasing and subleasing arrangements for real estate operating companies and corporate users. She represents the country’s largest student housing developer and is frequently involved in projects that require a nuanced understanding of commercial property structures, financing mechanisms, and long-term operational planning.
