R. Michael Sullivan

Michael Sullivan is a seasoned Kentucky attorney who focuses on complex civil matters across multiple industries. He represents businesses, insurers, public agencies, and individuals in disputes involving employment law, insurance defense, construction claims, real estate issues, and serious personal injury and wrongful death cases in state and federal courts.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame in 1988 before pursuing his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1991. His academic foundation prepared him to analyze detailed legal issues and build strong, practical strategies for clients facing challenging disputes and business decisions.

Mike advises clients on business and corporate law and litigation, contract drafting and disputes, employment counseling, insurance coverage matters, and utility and energy law and litigation. He also handles construction law and litigation, and residential real estate sales and purchases. When disputes escalate, he provides steady courtroom advocacy.

Mike’s clients include national retailers, global manufacturers such as Toyotetsu Mid America, public agencies including the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport Board, and local businesses and individuals. He supports them with employment guidance, contract review, civil litigation, and risk management strategies tailored to ongoing operational needs.
