Mr. Kornegay earned his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he was an active member of the National Mediation Team. Prior to law school, he served as a law clerk in Alabama’s 10th Judicial Circuit, gaining hands-on experience in trial preparation and legal research. His strong academic foundation includes a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Valdosta State University, where he was a member of the Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society.

Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Kornegay played a pivotal role in Georgia’s economic development. As President and CEO of the Blakely-Early County Chamber of Commerce from 2014 to 2017, he worked to strengthen local businesses and workforce initiatives. His leadership extended to serving on the Historic Chattahoochee Commission, Southwest Georgia Workforce 44 Board, and the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Board of Directors. This experience in business and policy enhances his ability to serve clients in legal matters involving corporate and economic interests.
